The lost hours of my life...

.
Heh. I fell asleep at about 5.30 this afternoon, for what I thought would be a couple of hours at the most. Next thing I know it's half past ten at night. And if it hadn't been for feeding the cats, I doubt I would have bothered to get up at all, and would happily have slept through till the morning.

Since I'm up now, I should probably back up the stuff from my hard drive that I want to keep. Tomorrow (finally!) is the big day for upgrading my Windows and Office software. The hard drive needs to be formatted so that the pc can start behaving like the Pentium IV it really is rather then its pre-upgrade incarnation as a Pentium III. Brain surgery is a risky thing - let's hope the patient survives...

This site will be my undoing. They've started stocking books as well as cds and dvds. Top of my list at the moment are Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, and the Captain Hornblower omnibus. By a lucky stroke of fate, the latter collects the only three HH books that I don't have. And can I reasonably be expected to resist free postage and no handling fee?!
