It's about time for a Pixel update - she was sitting in the courtyard and has just come in out of the rain which has been forecast for the last few days. No more than a light drizzle so far, but thunderstorms and torrential rainfall are predicted. I would be delighted if I didn't have plans for a final beach barbecue tomorrow night...

Back to the Pix: she's a lot better. I'm still worrying about her mouth/jaw/throat, but at least she's eating enough to start putting back on some of the weight she'd lost. And the bullethole below the ear is getting smaller, though it still isn't completely clear of pus - only a little, and it doesn't stink like it did before we discovered the magic antibiotics. The vet didn't think it merited another course of antibiotic injections just yet. The main change is that she's behaving far more normally. She's happy, she eats, she purrs, and we were just playing with one of her light plastic balls with a bell in it. So pretty good overall.

Now I really have to go to bed before I lapse into total incoherency. I'm suddenly yawning my head off.

Be sure to kiss the little angel for me. Tell her there are people very far away who are happy she's decided to stay with us.

I will deliver the kiss, but later, since I've just poked the nozzle of a tube of ointment down each ear, and she's regarding me with deepest suspicion... *g* Yes, on top of everything else, she developed an ear infection in both ears.

Okay, she's forgiven me - kiss delivered!
