I do like him, and he'd probably suit me better than either Will (too earnest) or Cap'n Jack (too hard to pin down - and I don't mean in the physical sense!). And given the choice, I'd havefiresignwriter's Commodore James, from her Full Moon series - verrry nice. ::licks lips and shivers::
On the Pixel front, things aren't looking too cheerful. In spite of daily antibiotic injections, the infection refuses to get better. The vet has tried various combinations of different antibiotics and nothing quite seems to work. I suggested taking a swab and growing a culture, but she said it's too risky because it would mean stopping the antibiotics for three days before taking the swab, otherwise the results wouldn't be reliable. If the infection doesn't respond within the next couple of days, it'll mean operating to remove the pellets, since the source of the infection is probably bits of fur/dirty skin that were carried into the wound when she was shot. That made me think of Stephen's gun wound in the M&C film - thank heavens for antibiotics these days!
