::points and squees::

Thanks to some timely assistance from [livejournal.com profile] fajrdrako and to a gorgeous header picture from [livejournal.com profile] view_paradise, this journal has a brand new look. Due South-related. Of course.

I had a lot of fun playing with the layout and the text for the links. And if any of you feel inclined to take offence at being labelled "Serial perps", take comfort from the fact that my user info is reached by clicking on "Suspect profile". Hee.

It's utterly beautiful! I'm so glad the instructions worked - mostly because I wouldn't have been sure what to advise if they didn't. (Not that I didn't have plenty of confidence in the matter, of course.)

It's very nice indeed.

I don't mind being called a serial perp because that doesn't specify what I do on a regular basis - serial ficwriter, for example. I commit drabble-creation frequently and flagrantly!

Yay! Glad you like. There was one thing that I had to change for it to work. Your instructions gave "yes, no, yes" for the "Custom CSS" options - that gave a colour scheme of greys and blues, like you have on your page, even though I'd specified the black background under "Look and feel". I refused to be beaten, fiddled with the settings and discovered that "yes, no, no" allowed the black background to be expressed. Don't ask me why. I also enlarged my header image a bit, and then reduced the header image height in the layout from 300 to 250 pixels - it looked more balanced that way. And then I played around with the colours till it looked right. It was fun experimenting!

Precisely! And I can quite rightly be suspected of (doing and being) lots of things, some of which I'll be happy to own to.

Hey, we're talking to Dief. *g*

Huh! That's sort of counter-intuitive, isn't it? I can't explain, but I'm glad you worked it out!

Yes, I did some poking and prodding with mine, too. And enjoyed it.

I still love having a Nine/Jack header but I'm also happy to know that I can change it whenever I feel like it.

I was trying all possible combinations at that point. LOL.

Thanks again for the help!

I'm glad I could help, because I remember how helpless I felt when I wanted to change my own header and all the LJ instructions looked either useless or overwhelming. I really couldn't have done it without help, so I'm glad to have been able to help you - passing on the favour, as it were.

Thank you. ::bows::

I'm still in obsession mode over DS. And after a bit of a shaky start, I've decided I like Ray K very very much. I thought you should know that. *g*

That's a great relief. I was beginning to think that the DSers on my f-list were ganging up on me.
