rosiesparkThroughout the day, I have drunk an enormous jug of peach iced tea and consumed a whole tray of ice cubes. Yes, it's been HOT. I also lay in the sun in my bikini on the terrace for half an hour - that was as long as I could stand. It appears to have worked. ::holds out neck of tshirt and peers down inside:: Am happy to report that a healthy glow has been achieved.
Saw X-Men 3 last night with Fabrizio. Had a great time, as expected of an evening that included icecream, Hugh Jackman on screen and several hours of Fabrizio's company. If Fabrizio's mutation/superpower is feeling comfortable when everyone around him is gasping and sweating and limp with the heat, mine would seem to be flight. In spectacular slow motion, no less. I lost my footing at the top of a flight of steps at the cinema, teetered down a couple of steps and then took off, landing at the bottom with a thump that felt like it shook the building. The inexplicable thing is that I can only find one bruise, on my right forearm. To his credit, Fabrizio did wait until he was sure I was okay before asking whether I'd had a good trip. *sigh* I do appreciate a man with an unfailingly silly sense of humour.
