I managed to sneak a quick visit to the area in front of the Duomo di San Giorgio after lunch on a day that was otherwise filled with meetings and a training session:

I escaped again for an hour the following day and headed straight back to the Duomo:

I was really struck by the pale interior, very different from the coloured marble and gilt-encrusted surfaces of Maltese churches:

St George slays a Rather Large Snake, watched admiringly by assorted putti and, from a safe distance, the Madonna and Child:

The splendid organ dates from 1885 and apparently has 4 keyboards. Leading me to ask whether that means 4 people can play it at the same time??
