...and after reading this again...I'm interested in your ideas about Lancelot. Do you think he actually loved Arthur? Or was he just feeling for the man because he 'understood' Lancelot, or was there for him because Arthur was his commander? It seems to me the comment he made in your fic about "better than nothing" signifies he does love him in some way...but I wonder if it's out of desperation and loneliness rather than actually feeling.
