How would you distinguish between "actual feeling" and something born out of "desperation and loneliness"? And rather perversely, it seems to me that Lancelot would be less desperate and lonely if he didn't love Arthur. Maybe he'd be happier if he were to seek solace in the arms of some nice uncomplicated girl... Don't think Guinevere quite fits that description. *eg*
