Thanks for the comment. I think the style is a result of it being mostly from Bush's pov - apart from the short middle section that is Archie's. It's hard to be anything but restrained and rather formal when writing Bush's version of events.
Mr Bush and Mr Kennedy were especially enjoyable, discovering mutual peace in the end.
It's especially fun to write fic about the two of them in which Horatio doesn't directly feature - and yet he's such a strong presence. I love the Archie/Horatio dynamic, but adding Bush to the mix makes it that much more complex and fascinating...
