Well, it started with a plot bunny early in the evening. It was actually a killer bunny , but was masquerading as a nice fluffy little rabbit. So I fed it, and the more words I gave it, the more insatiable it became...
End result: I have a fic, pretty much complete - hurrah! It's Hornblower fic - well, Archie and Bush, to be more precise. Angst to the extreme - oh yes. It's set in Kingston. ::grins evilly::
I'm going to bed and will reread the fic in the morning - and will decide then whether what seems quite good this evening is really a lot of drivel when viewed in the cold light of day. I rather hope I still like it, because I'm really quite happy with it right now. And the relief of finishing a 1,200 word fic which actually takes some of the scenes and dialogue that have so far only existed as snippets either on scribbled bits of paper or in my head is giving me a tremendous high.
AND I can report that I have discovered that I don't have to write with pen and paper, and that I probably write better using the computer. Wheee!
