Last night, and the victim was the most enormous frog I've ever seen. It didn't seem to be badly damaged, quite possibly because it was too large for Billy to get his jaws round its body. Yes, it was that big! I'm hoping it was just in shock and that it has now recovered to lead a long and happy life.

I am becoming accustomed to weekly nocturnal missions of mercy.

And I finally got the chance to misquote Lymond* in Game of Kings, and said to Billy, "Another delightful little frog. Where are you hatching them?"

Except that with Lymond and Richard, it was "more delightful little fish." *g*
