The luxury of an extra hour!

I love it when the clocks are turned back. Such a glorious feeling of having gained an hour. “The hour is earlier than you think” – to paraphrase Saruman *g*

I often wish I could turn back the clock, for an hour or more, just to stop myself feeling perpetually rushed. And, just for a single day in the year, it really happens…:-)

Another small step...

Logging in with another 1.64km walked this afternoon, with my mum and Lucy, who is - what, fourteen or so and just getting slower and slower. Added to my previous total of 1.87km, that's 3.51 km walked so far.

And it looks like I'm getting two doors for my house, from Josette and Chris who have spare old doors that they're not going to use in their Paola house. Two sets of double doors, actually, both wood and glass. The pair I'm aiming to use for the doorway at the bottom of the stairs are particularly nice, and will look wonderful with the little panes, currently painted over in white, replaced with blue and green glass. And I can keep the rest of the original glass, which is in perfect condition. My lucky day!

And I've just discovered Wax Jism's HP fic at http://www.geocities.com/wax_jism/ through following a link on dargie's journal . I read Second of our Reign, and am reading Thing. I like the Remus/Sirius interaction, and they're very well written. Strange, I've always avoided HP fanfic, thinking it'd be rubbish. I think I've been converted! And that it's not the fandom, but the skill of the author that counts. I mean, an awful lot of the LotR RPS out there is complete and utter drivel...(she says unapologetically. *g*)
