Logging in with another 1.12 km in 18 mins. This one I’m quite proud of, since I’ve had two killer days at work, and it would have been easy to justify NOT walking. That makes it a distance of 4.63 km walked so far on the road from Rivendell to Minas Tirith. [livejournal.com profile] glinda_north is on the road behind me, and at this rate, will soon catch up…

Got my ticket for the UK today! I go on the 15th, returning on the 30th. Now to baptise my new credit card booking accommodation and buying coach tickets online. Since the hostel I’ve picked has internet access at a pound sterling per hour, I can imagine the odd hour spent keeping up with the posts on Entmoot as well as posting Live Journal entries - LIVE from London! I’ve got my ticket for the LotR exhibition on the 17th, and I’m getting the TTT SE dvd delivered to my aunt in Eastbourne – I probably won’t get the chance to watch it there, since I can’t imagine said aunt being very happy if I were to hijack the dvd player and barricade myself in the living room for the required 10 or so hours. But I can take advantage of Amazon’s free postage offer to UK addresses, and having it safe in my evil clutches on my return will help to ease the post-holiday blues… *g* And it’s definitely travelling in my hand luggage, NOT in the hold, just in case. *g*

Update on the work front – my project proposal (footpath management in Gozo) got dropped on Tuesday morning, since it was unanimously agreed (between me and my boss, *g*) that it wasn’t humanly possible to finish the damn thing by today’s deadline. My over-riding feeling was one of relief that the pressure was off, with a smidgeon of regret because it was an interesting proposal. But relief predominated, since I had been getting flashes of utter panic while trying to work on it. So I ended up working with a colleague on another proposal with the same deadline - and it was a close thing with even the one proposal, which is why I've still got the dregs of the day's adrenaline chasing itself around my system at eleven o'clock at night. Now that’s over, I can look forward to the 15th. :-))) Smiley’s just aren’t expressive enough!
