I've just come across the following person in an email newsletter I received at work:

Sir Crispin Tickell
GCMG, KCVO, DCL, Chancellor of the University of Kent

My first thought was that he must be descended from Miranda Tickle! ::squees::

Well, you know, apart from the fact that Sir Crispin is apparently real while Miranda is fictional... *g*

For those going "wha...?", Miranda Tickle is an unforgettable character in widget285's splendid Hornblower fic Trompe l'oeil. The fic is an AU, and Horatio has a, shall we say, eye-opening encounter with Miss Tickle. ;)
