Mission Accomplished!

They've gone to their new home and I'm torn between relief and feeling sad that my courtyard is empty. The relief is starting to predominate, though, helped by the fact that Pablo, Billy and especially Pixel are definitely and very obviously relieved to have me to themselves again. It's also nice to be able to leave the doors to the courtyard open again - it was getting a bit stifling in the house with everywhere closed. ::sigh:: I keep telling myself I couldn't keep them, not with my three. Hope they'll be happy.

I took some (very bad) photos of them which I'll try and post. And I've been promised pics of the kittens in their new home, so will post those too when I get them.

(And I promise myself for the umpteenth time this year, to get out my camera, dust it off, and start snapping. Maybe tomorrow.... After all, I have to know how to use it for when I go to Malta, right?

Will see if I can salvage any of the photos through careful cropping - the digital "camera" I was using is more of a toy than anything else, and doesn't seem to capture what you point it at. No really! I swear I can take decent photos with a real camera. At least I normally manage to get the subjects in the frame. :)

Express any doubts as to the veracity of the above claims, and you will be sentenced to take official Siege photos using the Toy Camera of Doom. So there.

Hey, maybe your Toy Camera of Doom is the long-lost twin of my own Useless Box of Fog. Maybe they were separated at birth by a shipwreck.

Toy Camera of Doom

It lived up to its name on Tuesday. I took almost 50 shots of the beach and surroundings, and it inexplicably lost them all.

I don't think it was a shipwreck so much as an jettisoning overboard of useless rubbish. Grrr!

You're a good human, you know. And I'm sure the babies will be happy in their new home.

Of course, now that you've sent them on their way, the floral-print house dress and tatty old slippers (aka: Crazy Cat Lady uniform) I was planning to send you for Christmas just won't be appropriate. Darn it. ;)

I'll be getting the catbox back in a couple of days, so I can ask how they're settling in. It's not the kittens I'm worried about, they'll adapt to being anywhere. But mum was just getting used to my courtyard and I had to go and move her again, and she won't have any familiar people with her this time... *sigh* I would have kept her if I hadn't sworn not to upset Pablo ever again with a new cat in the house. Two-year sulks and all that. :(
