Your little snippet of RPS was fine - and fun and clever! - but this story was a bit too tab A/slot B for my liking. To be completely honest. And though LotR slash, both RP and FP, was my very first online fandom, I think I might be developing scruples about RPS. Hmm. Surprising, really, considering. But then the LotR cast practically slashed themselves. *g* Still, while I may not read it any more, I will certainly never have issues with other people reading or writing RPS.

I can trace my fandom history from LotR, mainly RPS, through HH (still slash, but fictional characters) to BSG, where the slash factor is negligible and my favourite 'ship is Kara/Lee. I've largely abandoned LotR fandom, but HH and BSG are an enduring source of squee. And the common factor is one Jamie Bamber... :)

The story just happened to hit all of my kinks HARD, but different tastes. :) This is the first time I've ever really gotten squeeful about RPS, though I used to read some in the Buffyverse. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I've always thought that everybody should be able to write and read whatever they want as long as they label and cut-tag. ::nod:: Live and let live, I say! Porn and let porn! I...I need sleep.

And yes, Jamie is always squeeful.
