I'm in Sicily, in a little seaside village called Punta Secca AND I WANT TO GO HOME. *sigh* I'm tired and achey (been overdoing it), my phone is out of credit, and I really really wish that a blue Police Box would materialise outside this Internet Cafe... I don't even think I'd want to go adventuring - I'd just hope that whichever Doctor it was could get the TARDIS to materialise in my courtyard at some time during the afternoon. Today. No time travel, just transport. :(

I'm here on work, and was booked to travel home by catamaran this afternoon, arriving in Valletta at five o'clock. The trip was cancelled, probably because of the rough sea. I should be able to get back tonight, but the journey will be hell since it's rough, and I won't get to Malta till 11 pm. Oh, woe!

Okay, maybe some lunch and a nap will help. *sigh*

I hope you got the lunch and the nap, and felt better afterwards! Being stranded is always annoying, especially when you were expecting to be getting home safe and sound.

I like the mental image of the TARDIS landing in your courtyard. I wish I was good at doctoring pictures in Photoshop so I could depict it. I would of course want the TARDIS to pick me up in Ottawa first, and then take me to your pretty courtyard - so we could watch series 1 and discuss it in person. Well, we've got the next best thing.

(No, not a Vortex Manipulator and Teleporter. Too bad.)

Felt much better after lunch and a nap. It was a case of disrupted-travel-blues, where you're stranded somewhere not unpleasant but can't enjoy it because of the uncertainty. Anyway, my time in Sicily ended with a surprisingly wonderful tour by car of the baroque town of Scicli (try pronouncing that!) and the surrounding mountains, on the way to the ferry. Pictures as soon as I get round to transferring them from the camera. Which reminds me that I haven't posted any of my Scotland photos. Bad me.

I wish I was good at doctoring pictures in Photoshop so I could depict it.

Wow, that would be... mindboggling. LOL.

It's funny how much a nap can help. I have become a frequent napper. (Too bad I don't get points for it, like air miles.)

Travel is exhausting at the best of times, all that hurry-up-and-wait that airports and train stations foster. And when you aren't going where you want to go when you want to go there... well, it's exhaustingly frustrating too.

Scicli... She-klee? Sickly?

I haven't posted any of my Scotland photos.

I noticed! I haven't seen anyone's Sadell photos yet. Perhaps no one actually went there, and it was all an illusion....

Is there a Dunnett gathering planned for next year? I'd heard rumours of France... and Beulah wants to go.

(That too would be easier with a TARDIS.)

Got home horribly late, at between one and two the next morning, but had a really nice few hours before that being driven around and taking photos, which made up for for it all. And have been catching up on sleep ever since! :)
