Fantastic Umbrella Academy article here - thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nokomis305 for the link!

The bit that made me squee the loudest:

The button pack released in conjunction with 'The Apocalypse Suite' contained three familiar designs — The Umbrella Academy, the Rumor, and the Kraken — and one mystery, the Sparrow. Will we find out who or what the Sparrow is in this new series, or is that to come later?

"Yep," Scott answers enigmatically.

Hehe. I've been curious about this for ages, so I'm just happy to know that we are going to find out what it means, whether now or later. And if it turns out that Number Five is The Sparrow, I think I might just die of squee...

The article mentions the (fictitious) single, "I Don't Want to Kill the President" by the (sadly fictitious) punk band "The Prime-8's". Echoes of Leathermouth's "I'm Going to Kill the President of the United States" which Frank Iero claims was written because he thinks it would be really funny if the FBI were to show up on his doorstep... Such fun, this tangled web of connections!

Though someone needs to tell Scott Allie that it was actually Mikey who came up with the name My Chemical Romance.

Oh, and Gerard's reply to being asked if being married to an artist has affected his creative process:

"It's changed it in very numerous and positive ways, but I think that has more to do with the fact that I am married to the most perfect match I could have ever met."

Awww! Could he be more in love with his wife? ♥♥Gerard♥♥

I so can't wait to see what all Dallas has to offer. ♥

And Gerard is such a dork, and his references to his wife are the most precious thing to ever precious. HIS MOST PERFECT MATCH HE EVER COULD HAVE MET.

He's an all round absolute sweetheart. SO MUCH LOVE. ♥♥♥

I just preordered Dallas no. 1 from tfaw.com. I don't know if they're my best option for getting it to me QUICKLY - but right now they're my ONLY option... ::cries::

How are you going about getting yours? And where do I get Mikey's Halloween comic from, any suggestions? I'm new to this comic-buying business!

I'm trekking to my comic book store (40 minutes away but WELL WORTH IT for Way-related books) for them both. However I just asked a friend who's deeper into comics than I am and she says Mile High Comics or Midtown Comics are both good for mail order business.

Thanks for the tip - very useful sites! The only drawback is that they don't seem to handle preorders. *sigh* I'll keep my preorder for Dallas with TFAW, but I guess I'll just have to resign myself to getting Mikey's Halloween story rather later than I'd like... Sometimes I wish I didn'ty live where I do. this is one of those times. :(

Hey, 40 minutes is NOTHING in the cause of Way-related stuff! *g* Sadly, in my case, 40 minutes will get me to the ferry terminal and part of the way across to the neighbouring (smaller) island which is almost certainly devoid of comic book shops.

Heh. Obsessed fangirls are obsessed. :D
