::pauses to blow nose::
A cold. Ugh. I was feeling too dreadful to go to work this morning, so have been lounging on the sofa with Jack Absolute and a cat, and am just about to make a cup of tea and return to the sofa. In spite of my stuffy head, aching limbs and nose that's dripping like a tap, the morning isn't shaping up too badly after all. :)
Now if only the people next door, who are having their house done up, would stop thumping on the walls...

Date: 2005-11-02 09:38 am (UTC)I started Jack Absolute once before, rather halfheartedly, and didn't get very far, but it's just entertaining enough without being too demanding to be perfectly suited to my state of mind this morning.

Date: 2005-11-02 01:42 pm (UTC)Ooh, yes. What a wonderful idea! Will definitely have some later. I have German honey that's a bit bland, and thyme honey and citrus honey from Sicily that are just delicious. Yes, I'm a bit of a honey nut - I always try and bring some back with me when I go abroad, despite the weight. And

Date: 2005-11-02 01:51 pm (UTC)I rifled my food cupboards and came up with some asparagus cup-a-soup with a best-before date of June 2005. That was my lunch. So far so good.
Then my mum came over with a tin of chicken soup - only it turned out to have expired last March....
Your chicken noodle soup would be most welcome. :)

Next time I have two teenagers on the unit who want to see each other but are isolated, and I'm trying to convince them that using the laptops or room phones is just as good as watching TV in the same room, I'm SO going to use that line.

Date: 2005-11-02 06:31 pm (UTC)Tea drinking (especially with honey), sofa lounging and reading something not too demanding sounds like a good plan. And having a soft warm feline around doesn't hurt either.
Get well soon, Rosie.
